Meyer's Mini Jr. is the answer to life’s little challenges. It’s easy to use and ideal for jobs like walkways, driveways and small parking lots. Built to spread up to 400 lbs. of dry, free flowing #1 rock salt, the Mini Jr. allows you to handle several jobs with just one load.
For convenience, the Mini Jr. is equipped with in-cab, variable-speed controls that regulate a spread pattern that ranges from three to 30 feet. And attaching the polyurethane hopper is a breeze using a standard, 2-inch square receiver.

Direct Drive Motor
The heart of a tailgate spreader is its electric motor. The Mini Jr. utilizes a powerful 1/8 HP direct-drive motor. No inefficient, space-consuming, right-angle gearboxes found in this spreader! Its spinner runs directly off the motor drive shaft delivering positive, energy-efficient power to the operating system.

Precise Application Is At Your Command
Precise spread-pattern control is a key for maximum performance. The Mini Jr.'s variable-speed controller (patent pending) lets you easily adjust the spinner speed while the exclusive on-demand "Blast" mode quickly spikes the amperage to brake up clumps or increase the spread pattern when you need to. The Mini Jr. was also designed with a half-moon shaped deflector that resides behind the spinner. This Meyer-exclusive deflector keeps the salt heading in the right direction and protects your vehicle from repetitive exposure to flying salt pellets.

Built To Take On Mother Nature
The Mini Jr.’s poly hopper is virtually indestructible. A one-piece molded polymer hopper is framed with robotically welded steel and powder coated with Meyer’s exclusive DURA-SLICK ™ paint. The Jr.’s polymer hopper and powder painted frame provides state-of-the-art protection from Mother Nature and a long-lasting finish. Heavy-duty lid locking straps on each side of the hopper cover keeps moisture out thus improving spreading performance.

Powder Paint – DURA-SLICK™ Paint
A good paint finish is vital in providing protection against harsh winter elements. The Mini Jr. is coated with automotive style paint with Meyer’s exclusive Teflon® formula baked on to the steel for durability and maximum rust protection.

All Mini Jr.’s are manufactured under Meyer’s stringent quality standards. These spreaders are fully assembled, tested, operated, certified and packaged right off the assembly line to ensure product quality.

Marine-Type Electrical Plug
The Mate's 1/8HP, 12V motor provides superior operating performance; however, it's Meyer’s marine-style electrical plug that ensures consistent electrical connection from the vehicle battery to the motor. A consistent connection ensures equipment reliability even in the toughest weather. Dielectric grease is recommended to lubricate all electrical connections.

Optional Motor Bumper & Storage Stand
To keep the motor protected, Meyer offers an optional bolt-on bumper guard. The motor guard prevents damage caused by accidental back-ups. In addition, the bumper guard also serves as a convenient storage stand during the off-season. The unit stores upright and utilizes very little floor space.

In-cab Auto Controller
Precise spread-pattern control is the key to efficient performance. The Mini Jr.’s variable-speed controller (patent-pending) is easy to use and comes standard with an operator-selected “blast” function. Selecting the Auto Vibrate Mode automatically vibrates the spreader for 10 seconds every sixty seconds to keep your load agitated and ready to spread. The Auto Spinner Stop Mode automatically stops the spinner if the brake is depressed for more than five seconds. These exclusive Meyer controller features make the Mini Jr. one of the highest performing spreaders in its class!

EZ On, EZ Off
Icy, snowy weather can occur at a moment’s notice. That’s why it is important to have a system that is easy to install and operate. The Mini Jr. easily attaches to virtually any truck (see below). In addition, its operating system is conveniently controlled from inside the cab.

Flexible Mountings
The Mini Jr. conveniently mounts in a standard two-inch receiver hitch. In addition, Meyer offers a standard, 3-point hitch attachment that will adapt to all compact utility tractors.

Mini Jr. Salt Screen & Built-in Bag Cutter
Many customers require sifting (screening) of the material prior to filling the hopper in order to break-up clumps which can cause damage to the auger and reduce performance. The Mini-Jr. screen comes standard with a built-in bag cutter that allows you to break open bags of salt without needing a knife or other cutting device. Screens come as per each, are easily installed and come with instructions for quick and easy installation. Meyer’s Mini Jr. Screen is installed easily, come per each, with instructions, & hardware for a convenient install.

Motor Guard
The electric motor is arguably the most important aspect of the tailgate spreader. To protect this investment, Meyer has developed a bolt-on heavy-duty tubular motor guard. For receiver hitch models, it also serves as a storage stand when spreader is removed from the vehicle.

Spreader Controller (optional)
The Meyer Spreader Controller (patent-pending) is the most reliable and convenient controller on the market. This lightweight and compact unit comes standard with many easy-to-use, performance-enhancing features such as:
- Auto Spinner Stop Mode – If selected, when the brake is depressed for five seconds, the spinner automatically stops, thus saving your precious salt.
- Auto Vibrate Mode – If selected, the vibrator will automatically activate for 10 seconds every 60 seconds; this keeps the material agitated and ready for application.
The unit also boasts convenient features such as back-lit controls for visual clarity at night, and a variable-speed dial that easily controls spinner speed. When it comes to serviceability, this controller is two steps ahead of the competition. The Controller also monitors the motor performance, if the controller senses that the motor is not operating it automatically shuts down the system allowing the operator to inspect the system. In anticipation of unwanted amp surges, the unit comes standard with easy-to-replace automotive-type fuses. The Meyer Controller requires minimal installation and comes with all mounting hardware and instructions for easy installation.

3-Point Hitch Mounting
It is common for the Mini Jr. to be used in many applications. The optional 3-Point Hitch attachment adapts the Meyer Mini Jr. to any standard 3-point hitch configuration. Perfect for golf courses, universities, institutions and agricultural environments. The 3-Point Hitch mount is easily installed and comes with instructions and hardware.

Spreader Rear Work Lights
Lighting the work area behind the truck is becoming as important as lighting the work area in front of the truck. Meyer offers two options for rear lighting, each comes with a work light and a brake light:
- LED Rear Light Package – Includes a work light and brake light. The heavy-duty industrial LED work light mounts conveniently to any rear location and brightens up the rear of the truck. The light is fully adjustable and plugs in to a standard trailer hitch power cord.
- Halogen Rear Light Package – Includes a work light and brake light. The lighter-duty halogen work light conveniently mounts to any rear location and brightens up the rear of the truck. The light is fully adjustable and plugs in to a standard trailer hitch power cord.
Both options include an integrated rear brake light that works in conjunction with the vehicle’s brake lights. The LED brake lights installs conveniently on any rear tailgate mounted spreader. Each kit consists of one work light and one brake light and comes fully assembled with mounting hardware and instructions.

The Big Yellow Box
The Meyer Big Yellow Box is the perfect companion for your fall, spring, summer and winter needs. The unit features 8 cubic feet of storage and is made of double walled polymer that is virtually indestructible. Perfect for storing: Sand/Salt, Power Tools, Sports equipment, Pool supplies and tools or garbage. Unit will not rust and comes lock-ready. (Lock is sold separately) Forklift pockets are built-in to move the unit when full of material. Unit is 32”W x 23”D x 30”H. No assembly required.

Driveway Markers
Meyer Driveway Markers are 4’ long, made of sturdy ¼” fiberglass to withstand winter elements. They are flexible, designed to bend virtually in half and return to their original position. Designed of highly reflective florescent orange along with a specialized reflective tape make them highly visible during a storm or after dark.

Suspension Enhancement
To improve the ride and overall performance of your vehicle, Meyer offers Timbren Suspension Enhancement kits. Timbren suspension system works in conjunction with your vehicle’s factory suspension system to provide added support in the front or rear of your vehicle. Timbren’s rubber cushioned products reduce the harsh ride caused by adding leaf springs or helper springs. Timbren suspension kits come complete as a set (2) and include installation instructions. May require professional installation.

Meyer Dielectric Grease
Prevent your valuable system from the harsh elements of the winter with Meyer’s dielectric grease. Meyer’s dielectric grease is specially formulated to coat and protect electrical connections from deteriorating elements such as salt and road grime. It is recommended to coat all electrical connections prior to winter and each time you re-connect to ensure optimal performance. Grease comes per each, 2.7oz tube.
